Work,Work, and Work

Well i'm not working at the nursing home anymore. I'm working at Camden in the hospital at nights 7p-7a. I feel like I sleep all the time. Well Vern and Sue are bother doing good. Sue is having a boy and Vern doesn't know yet, just that her baby is healthy. John got himself a deer this week a 9 point. He was very excited and it took up our whole freezer...anybody know of a good freezer we need to buy one. Didn't pass Hesi in this past time, will try again in December. My score did go up, but no cookies. I hope everybody is doing good and I miss all of you very much. Can't wait for the holidays and hopefully I will get to be home to see everybody.

Newest Happenings..

Well its been a long time since I last posted. We don't have the internet in Hampton, but we did get directv!!! Well John has started back to school and only had a 2 day week this week. Gustov brought a bit of water to Hampton and they didn't have school Wednesday or Thursday. On Thursday night we had the Beaver family minus stepmom at our house. The water was over the road on Wednesday, the main road to get out of Hampton. The Beaver's live right on a lake that the river feeds into so they had to get out. Stepmom is staying behind to watch everything. I have finished up the school that i needed to, but did not pass Hesi. I will re-take it again in October. In the meantime I had a new job at a nursing home in El Dorado, only every other weekend, so needed something a bit better. I had an interview this past Thursday at the Camden hospital and they should be calling me this next week about coming in to get everything going. We got to come to De Queen this weekend to visit with our families that we miss so much. Oh and the latest baby news is that Sue is having a baby due the end of February first of March, and Vern also found out that she is expecting...Congrats.

Goodbye

Well yesterday was a very sad day for the family especially mom. She had chippy put to sleep. She hadn't been doing very good, not eating, wheezing a lot. Dr. Martin said it was best because she had a lot of fluid built up around her heart. It was hard but for the best, mom didn't want her to suffer. We had chippy for almost 13 years. We got her when she was just a little chewing up everything puppy. We had a lot of good times with her evern though she did chew up dad's best reel for his fishing pole. She stayed outside for awhile until a few years ago when she was promoted to inside the house. We will really miss her, can't replace her but I am betting another little doggy will show up at the Atkins house sometime in the future. But for right now CoCo is holding down the fort while i'm at school. To the best dog ever...love ya chippy. ;)

Just catching up.

Well its been a long time since my last post. A lot has been going on since then. I passed LPN state boards and am now working at a nursing home in Fordyce. I don't have much time for anything but work and my two days off I just want to hang out with the doggies and John. Also our computer hasn't been working so that doesn't help. John is now done with school for the summer, I know he is excited. I know he did such a great job this year everybody I have talked to has went on and on about his teaching, so proud of him. I will be starting back to school July 7th for 6 weeks. I am so ready to be finished and be working at a job that really interest me. The doggies are both doing good, very very crazy at times. We got our wedding pictures back from the printer, they are really good if anybody wants to see them that hasn't let me know. I hope everybody is having a good summer, don't get too hot, and Molly.....I hope you get to go to the mountains. :)

Kirby Ole Miss Track Meet

This past weekend Mom, Dad, and I went to Oxford, Ms to watch Kirb's track meet. He did pretty good. He got 9th in the hammer with a throw of 48.25m/158.04 ft. and won the discus with a throw of 53.44m/174.07 ft. and he had to come back from behind to do it. I was very proud of him. We had a great time didn't get to stay too long but got to visit with kirb and mom and I did a little shopping in between times. We also ate at a really good restaurant on the way home right before you get to Greenville, ms. It was called fat baby catfish restaurant. It was very good. I would recommend it if you are ever that way, you can't miss it there isn't much out there.

The Kiddies

Just thought I would put a few pictures up of the family. We were just sitting around the other night and thought we would take a few pictures. If you will notice there is a new doggy in the pictures. That is Alli. She came to us to grow up and be a hog dog and maybe have a few puppies with Gator. Well she has been in the house but we decided that after some eaten carpet, shoelaces, among other things that she needed to go outside. She can get out of the fence, but she just wonders up to the front porch and waits on us to go outside. Don't let the cuteness catch you off guard she is very sneaky.

Our Honeymoon-Orange Beach

Above is me, below is John. This is of the many dolphins that we saw. This is John digging a hole, couldn't help himself. These are a few pictures from our honeymoon in Orange Beach, AL. We had a really great time but it was a bit cold. Right after we checked in we headed to Wal-Mart to get some groceries and pick up some snorkeling gear, well that didn't really come in handy. It kinda started out on a bad note but ended up alright. When we got to our condo the key wouldn't work so they called the guy to come let us in, well come to find out the room they put us in wasn't suppose to be rented. They ended up moving us to the top floor in a room that was a lot bigger than our original one. It had a spiral staircase and a loft upstairs. We would walk around every morning looking for shells and most every night except for one it was just too cold. We went on a dolphin boat trip and also went parasailing, that was so much fun 800 feet above the water with just straps holding you on. :) One day we tried to lay out and tan, but the wind would knock the sand into every little part of your body so we thought, "What the heck," lets just get in the sand, as you can see. I didn't really like it at first I had to keep my hands out so they could breathe. The picture of a building is our condo, from the dolphin boat. We are on the top floor to the third balcony from the right. You might ask yourself why is there a picture of an Alaska license plate, well we found 38 license plates during the trip, it passed the time on the 10 hour ride. We had a really great time, just sad that it is over. We want to definately go back when the weather is warmer and we can play in the water. I will add some more pictures later. Enjoy
